

VampyreIt was night. She wrapped her coat tighter around her and breathed fog into the winter air. It was cold, but she wouldnt go back inside. She didnt feel a part of her surroundings inside. Feelings of doubt, and confusion plagued her. She lived with her parents, they were good parents. They cared for her and treated her with kindness. She had good friends, normal friends, who were trustworthy and loyal and easy to talk to. Yet she still felt disconnected. She felt a vague sense of foreboding. Rebecca took some degree of comfort from the dark, as she had been born an abnormality that drew surprise and even fear from regular people. Often, when faced with the choice of going out or staying at home, she would ascend to the attic. She would stay there for hours at a time, reading and listening to the soft patter of the almost constant rain.
